On February 18th, the “Ma Yun African Youth Venture Fund” was officially launched. In the next 10 years, the fund will provide 10 million US dollars to encourage the development of young African entrepreneurs.
It is understood that the fund will hold an annual competition in the next 10 years, select 10 players from the registered African entrepreneurs to enter the finals and provide them with a total of 1 million US dollars in prize money. Players, regardless of industry, can register as long as they are African citizens, especially encouraging the active participation of grassroots, women and young people. Through cooperation with local partners in Africa, the finalists will not only receive financial support but also become a member of the future young African entrepreneurs family, sharing experiences and resources to create a star of African entrepreneurs.

Ma Yun Public Welfare Foundation said.
At the "Network Entrepreneur: The Rise of African Digital Lions" conference in Johannesburg, South Africa in August 2018, Ma Yun, founder of Ma Yun Public Welfare Foundation, announced that it would invest 10 million US dollars to set up the fund to help African young people realize their dreams and let them "Catch the generalized globalization and digitization, and let 100 Alibaba appear in Africa."
