Let us take a brief look at how a hammer mill works. The basic principle is straightforward. A hammer mill is essentially a steel drum containing a vertical or horizontal rotating shaft or drum on which hammers are mounted. The hammers are free to swing on the ends of the cross, or fixed to the central rotor. The rotor is spun at a high speed inside the drum while maize is fed into a feed hopper. The maize is impacted by the hammer bars and is thereby shredded and expelled through screens in the drum of a selected size.The hammer milling machine is also good and fit for production of animal feed to those involved in animal husbandry.

the importance of cleaning the maize in maize milling plant

Cleaning and conditioning of the maize is an important step in the processing of maize. Cleaning refers to the removal of foreign material and all that is not maize kernels from the to-be milled grain.These foreign materials lower the quality of the product. Examples of foreign materials are husk, straw, dust, sand and everything too big or too small and lighter than a maize kernel. It also refers to the removal of poisonous seeds, and material harmful to the milling equipment. Examples are metal and stones.
Conditioning refers to the addition of moisture to the maize to allow the bran to be peeled off in flakes during milling with plate or roller mills, allowing easy separation in a sifter and most importantly to add mass to the meal.
The degerminator is designed to scrub the bran skin off the maize and dislodge the germ from its cavity with minimum reduction in size of broken fragments.
The destoner is applied for efficient separation of stones ,pebbles, glass and other high-density matter from the stream of grain.
The Scourer is designed to remove impurities and contaminations like dust,sand etc. This improves the final product sanitation as it reduces bacteria and insect count.This is used on our wheat milling machines.
The Magnetic separator is designed to remove all iron containing materials from the grain, flour and bran
 As you can see all our machines are manufactured with great expertise and as you can see our cleaning process leaves no unwanted material in the maize. This ensures that the final maize flour meal will be of superior quality because it will not contain any impurities.

Degerminator for removing husk



Dear everything one, in China,the maize is yellow but in Africa, it is white.most of our Africa customers would like super white maize meal.
In the processing of maize, the degerminator is very important.
it can scrub the bran skin from the maize kernel and to disloge the germ from cavity with minimum reduction in the size of the broken fragments.
After cleaning, the maize will go the moisture bin to sleep in 8 hours or 12hours, then go to degerminator. moisture sleeping can make maize wet and is good for removing husk and milling.
after degerminator, the maize will go to roller mill for milling. the roller mill can process broken maize into maize meal and maize flour.
how can we separate the maize meal and maize flour? we use sifter to divide according to the difference size mesh. There are mesh screen in the sifter. at this moment, some bran will remove and go out from the sifter.
the sifter will grade different size maize meal, if the customer need 30 mesh maize meal. some maize meal which is bigger than 30 mesh will go back to the roller mills and milling again.
after sifter, we can pack the maize meal.
